My name is Micah Hoffman and I am excited to be the new principal at Lincoln High School. It is an honor to lead a school with such a rich history of excellence and tradition! I feel fortunate to once again be part of Lincoln, as we support our students, staff and community.
After growing up in Kansas, I attended Louisiana State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. (Geaux Tigers!) Upon graduation, I became the band director at Live Oak High School in Watson, Louisiana. With the desire to improve my craft; I moved to Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Music with an emphasis in Wind Conducting. After my two years in Milwaukee, I became the Director of Bands right here at Lincoln High School.
As a staunch advocate for public education and a longing to advocate for ALL students, I enrolled at National Louis University and graduated with a Certificate in Educational Leadership in 2015. Two years later I became an Associate Principal at Green Bay West High School. Transforming me as a person, as well as a professional, West High School was integral in preparing me to lead Lincoln High School into its second century.
Outside of school, I live right here in Manitowoc with my magnificent wife Kristin, our three children and our Bernese Mountain Dog.
I am eager to begin learning about the great things Lincoln has accomplished these past few years; and am thrilled to be a partner with all of you as we work in concert to provide our students an education they will be proud of for their entire lives.
