Work Experience

Welcome to Work Experience at Manitowoc Lincoln High School!

Work Experience provides JUNIORS and SENIORS with the opportunity to develop and practice employability skills in a workplace setting, gain valuable feedback on these skills from their employers, and reflect on how these skills transfer to their future career goals.

In order to be successful and gain credit for Work Experience, students must:

1. have a legitimate job (i.e. on-the-payroll)
2. complete the required number of work hours based on the number of periods they are enrolled in Work Experience.
-- 90 work hours within the semester (~5 hours per week) to earn .5 credit.
-- 180 work hours within the semester (~10 hours per week) to earn 1.0 credit.
--270 work hours within the semester (~15 hours per week) to earn 1.5 credit.
3. complete and submit ALL assignments.

**Upon successful completion of this course, students will earn the Wisconsin Employability Skills Certificate. This certificate recognizes a student’s mastery of employability skills valued by employers in a variety of worksite settings while helping students explore career interests. This is a great resume builder to help you stand out to future employers!
