PSAT/NMSQT Information:
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a standardized test administered by the College Board and cosponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) in the United States. Approximately 3.4 million students take the PSAT/NMSQT each year. The PSAT/NMSQT is relevant to your future success because it focuses on the skills and knowledge at the heart of education. The PSAT is used to determine eligibility and qualification for the National Merit Scholarship Program (which is what the "NMSQT" part of the name). It also serves as a practice test for the SAT.
The PSAT/NMSQT is digital! The test is easier to take, shorter, has more time per question, and comes with a built-in calculator!

-This assessment is voluntary and will cost a small fee to take, $18.
-Exam will be taken on your school managed Chromebook. (District will download "Bluebook" app to your Chromebook)
-Exam Date: 8:00a.m. Wednesday October 30th 2024.

-This exam will be taking place at Lincoln High School in the Learning Resource Center(LRC/Library). Please arrive by 8:00 a. m. as we will take attendance and begin filling out contact information promptly at 8:15 a.m. The exam will begin as soon as we finish the contact information. Please enter school and proceed straight to the LRC.
-You will be excused for the day of school to take this exam. The exam (2 hours and 14 minutes) will finish within 3 hours after we begin... Approximately finishing around 11:15 a.m.
It is open to both sophomores and Juniors. Sophomores are taking the assessment to practice. Juniors are taking the test to practice AND try to qualify for the NMSQT. Please see the LHS Counselor web page for more information about the test. (Counseling Center - Testing information)
Please submit a request below if you would like to take this exam. After completing this form, please pay Ms. Garza in the MAIN OFFICE to pick up your ticket. Checks can be made out to Lincoln High School with PSAT in the memo.
