Start of Season Reminders for Athletes!

1.Physical examinations and proper paperwork completed regarding the physical exam should be on file before practice can occur. (Virtual practicing does not require the physical exam BUT before in-person practices begin, they MUST be completed.)

2.Online registration and the code of conduct (online version) should all be taken care of prior to the first practice of the season (including virtual practices). Click on this page for more details (which is located on our athletic website):

3. Academic Eligibility: all student-athletes must be passing all of their classes to be eligible to compete in their season of choice. At the end of each quarter, a grade review will occur for all in-season sport athletes. Any athlete on an in-season roster that earns more than 1 failing grade will be ineligible for competition for 15 school days once the quarter grade is final (7 days after the end of the quarter). An ineligible student-athlete is still allowed to attend all practices and team functions, but not allowed to compete.

Sport Updates & Start Dates WIAA winter sports VIRTUAL practices are set to begin on November 16 & 23. Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will consist of current Lincoln Ships student-athletes. It will serve to gain insight into the student-athlete experience by allowing athletes to share their thoughts and insight on high school athletics, while promoting and implementing programs that encourage our schools core values and athlete well-being. Additionally, it will offer an opportunity for athletes to grow, learn, and listen to different guest speakers and coaches.

of Lincoln High School Athletic Facilities

Manitowoc Lincoln High School believes that a dynamic program of student activities is vital to the educational development of the student.
Athletics and Activities plays an important part in the life of a Ship student. Young people learn a great deal from the participation in interscholastic athletics. Lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, competition and how to win and lose gracefully are integral parts of our athletic program. Athletic participation also plays an important part in helping students develop a healthy self-concept as well as a healthy body. Athletic competition also improves school spirit and helps students develop pride in their school.

The major objective of the educational-based athletic program is to provide wholesome opportunities for students to develop positive leadership habits and attitudes of social and group interaction. Our coaching leadership is of the highest quality and will provide athletes with examples of exemplary behavior. The measurement of leadership success should not be measured in terms of the tangible evidence of the victories and defeats, but instead from the caring, creative, committed, and collaborative efforts, that are the major objectives of the Lincoln HS athletic program. The athletic program should always be consistent with the general objectives of the school. The athletic administration is oriented in the general policies of the WIAA.
