My name is Lainey Longmeyer and I have had the distinct honor and privilege of serving the LHS Learning Community since 2017. Serving the students and families of the Manitowoc community has been a dream of mine since my decision to enter the field of education.
I am a proud LHS Alumna, and the talented professionals in the LHS Learning Community during my high school career inspired me to become an educator. After graduation, I attended the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point where I received my undergraduate degree in Cross Categorical Special Education. Later, I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Holy Family College. I started my career as a Special Education Teacher at Lincoln High School, then transitioned into the Dean of Students role in 2019 and became an Associate Principal in 2022.
I am inspired by the members of our learning community daily and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a Shipbuilder, and part of the MPSD.
