What is Youth Apprenticeship?

Start your future NOW with Youth Apprenticeship!
YA LOGO
Youth Apprenticeship is a 1 or 2 year program open to juniors and seniors that combines paid, on-the-job learning with academic and technical classroom instruction. YA opens doors by giving students the opportunity to "try out" a career area of interest while under the guidance of a business mentor.

Student learning is guided by industry-specific skill checklists developed by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. YA students earn a Occupational Skills Certification, which verifies that they have gained the skills, knowledge, and experience that are necessary to be successful in their chosen industry.
