Welcome to Lincoln High SchOOL

The winter weather, coupled with our unfortunate ceiling event, has caused us to sharpen our pencils and get our calculators out to ensure that we are meeting the state requirement for instructional minutes for your child.

In order to meet the requirement for our students we are needing to add 14 minutes to the school day starting next week Monday (February 18th). We realize that there is probably no perfect way to add 14 minutes into our day. Putting the minutes on the end of the day impacts sports, co-curriculars, work and family obligations, while putting it on the front end impacts our collaborative staff time. Thus, we have created a balanced model for making up the time.

We apologize for the need to change our start and end times at this time of the year, however, we want to ensure that each student get the instructional hours and minutes that they deserve. Our new start time for 1st period class will be 8:10 am and our 7th period class will now end at 3:31 pm. Essentially, we are adding two minutes to each class. If you have any questions about the new bell schedule (see attached), please let me know.
