What do you think are the top 3 essentials for a productive classroom? 1) The room has to feel safe and comfortable 2) Having high standards for all 3) Make it fun!
What has inspired you to teach? Wanting to make a difference for good, and my sister is also a teacher!

What do you want students to know about you? I have high standards for productivity and behavior, once the work is done and done well (again! High standards), then we can chill out! I am here for you, and I will advocate for you!

What is a tip you'd like to share with students to make it a successful school year? Communicate!! Self care is important!! If someone does something that bother you, say something! Get your work done and done well before you relax! ASK QUESTIONS!

What do you want students to know about you? I am here to serve and help them be the best they can be; I am happy and willing to assist and help students in subjects far beyond science.

What is a tip you'd like to share with students to make it a successful school year? Bring everything that makes "you" to the classroom and value individual strengths, abilities, and talents. Be willing to use and develop unique strengths and talents you have daily.

What has inspired you to teach? I love helping students discover their own talents, interests and abilities, learn about the world of work, and to make meaningful connections between the two
What do you want students to know about you? For the last 23 years, I've been an elementary school counselor at Monroe School (and part time at Franklin/Stangel). What's up former Monroe students! I'm also the assistant baseball coach. My wife, Karla, teaches 1st grade at Monroe, my daughter, Kasey, is a speech language pathologist in Buffalo, MN, my son, Tanner, is a Junior at Minnesota State University - Mankato, and my son, Brady is a sophomore at Lincoln. We love being a part of Manitowoc and the Lincoln Shipbuilder's community. Go Ships!
What is a tip you'd like to share with students to make it a successful school year? It's amazing what a positive mindset can do for you and know that you're the only one in the world who holds the power to change it!
