Hello, my name is Ashley Armstrong. I began working for the Manitowoc Public School District in August of 2016 as the School to Work Coordinator. During the 2016-17 school year I will be teaching the Work Experience class and helping students take advantage of college and career exploration opportunities in our community. I am the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Coordinator for MPSD as well as the department chair for the Career and Technical Education Department. I represent MPSD on a number of Manitowoc County Chamber Committees including McPIE (Manitowoc County Partners in Education), Career Expo, Manitowoc County Manufacturing Project (Mini Chopper) and I am the current chair of Young Professionals of Manitowoc County.
I am a Manitowoc native and Lincoln Alumni. Prior to working at MPSD, I was the High School Career Coach for Manitowoc County at Lakeshore Technical College. In this role I worked with area high school students to assist them with college and career exploration and the transition to college. I was in this role from November 2012-August 2016. Prior to working for LTC, I was completing my Master of Arts in Counseling degree in Higher Education at Lakeland University.
I believe it is very important for our students to recognize the many college and career opportunities that exist right here in our community. I enjoying assisting students and providing access to resources that are necessary to reach their college and career goals.
Please call or email if you would like to set up a time to meet.
